The reason why we have to repaint our bathroom is because my parents shower was leaking in that bathroom. To stop the leaking, he had to make a huge hole in the bathroom ceiling. Afterward, he had to close the opening so you can't see it. Now, we had to paint over it so it looks like nothing happened when you walk threw the door. That is the reason why.
Here are the steps to paint a bathroom:
1. Place blue scotch tape on the corners of the room you are painting so the paint doesn't go on the wall.
2. Take the sticky primer and wipe it on the wall before you put the paint, and let the primer dry for a couple days to the wall so it looks flat.
3. Take a medium sized brush and rub it on the corners of the wall you are painting.
4. Take the roller and drench it in paint, and then press it on the wall and motion it up and down to cover the wall.
5. After you let the paint dry and take off the tape, your bathroom is painted!
My bathroom is all done and managed to take pictures of the steps. I hope they help!
This is a picture of the gross and sticky primer. You have to scrape it out of the bucket, and smudge it on the wall. The only thing I don't like about painting is putting this on.
This is the blue scotch tape I was talking about. You have to put some kind of thick tape on the corners or else the paint will splatter everywhere!
This is a photograph of my dad rolling a roller on the wall so the paint will be even. We did two layers just in case because some times we leave white spaces and we don't even know it.
This a glimpse of a wall that is finished. My dad and I were very proud of making the wall flat considering the wall had a lot of bumps. The primer really worked!
As you can see, after you paint, it is really messy!
Caused from all of the painting, paint got stuck on my hands and dried up. It was exhausting trying to peel of the paint.
I had a great time painting with my dad and hope we can do another project like that again!

ReplyDeleteWow! You have been quite busy with your dad! Any type of painting project is a lot of work. I painted my living room last year, and it took me days! The hardest part for me was getting the paint close enough to the ceiling without getting it on the ceiling. It was hard to do!
